Thought we played well .. we looked really well drilled , pressing from the front and everyone knew their job ..
Under Slav and Manuel it all looked a bit just go out there and do your stuff ..
Dont see any reason why we cant have a good season again this year

I took my 4 year old daughter on Saturday for her first ever game and planned to get her a programme as a souvenir but every seller I went to had already sold out and that was 45 mins before ko. Anyone know if the club sells programmes for past games? Checked on ebay and they are being offered at just under a tenner and I refuse to pay that out of principle!

I’m optimistic about how we are playing in preseason but it’s exactly that…..preseason. I like very much that Moyes for once has our team looking ready for a new LONG season for us. What I’m pessimistic about is we have a history of going from season to season being on the wrong side of injuries, this has been hilighted by the fact our centre back pairing is our only choice if you don’t want to start picking youths…..that is the cunt, not supporters reading how the story goes for us especially when yet again a transfer window isn’t changing that likely scenario so far…..

I hope that Benrahma comes good though this season. We really needed a bit of class and trickery to break down set defenses last season. Players like Lingard were great on the counterattack but were ineffective when teams sat back against us.
Benny doesn't have the pace to counterattack like that, but the trickery will be good against teams that want to park the bus.

I never said that I wasn't a cunt, Mex. Just a realistic cunt. I don't get carried away or overreact with success or failure. In last year's season's final positions thread, I think I made the most optimistic prediction. And I was always one of the most optimistic on here about Moyes.
But I've learned that things are never generally as good as they look, and never generally as bad as they look when you're following WHU.

Benrahma was class yesterday, think he could have a big this year if we can keep him healthy, if he does we don't need Lingard. We have to buy a forward though

Ern - My thoughts too. Two more first teamers who will improve us will equal a pretty good team. With Arsenal and Spurs in a bit of a decline it's brought the sides below the top 4/5 all closer. Not convinced the likes of Everton, Wolves, Villa will be pulling up too many trees.

From what we know there’s a solid first XI which is good enough to finish top half.
The rest will depend on who else comes in and what injuries we pick up along the way.

Have to say, will be interesting to see if Moyes can overcome the 2nd full season syndrome that seems to catch most of our mangers out.
